Here is something I wrote back on Janurary 15, 2005. I had been living in Seattle for the first time, away from all my friends, and family. Of course I made new friends and I still LOVE the PacNW. I have lived up there twice since then. But this was one of those times that I was changing places again. People that know me, know that I love to travel and explore and that I don't sit in one spot for very long. Big changes are always thrilling for me. There is a sense of the unknown. It's the end of one chapter and the start of another. It's really more like the end of one book and the start of another. With this spirt of adventure, I have lived in Oklahoma, Colorado, Florida, and WA state 3 times. Of course Oklahoma is home and I keep ending up back here. I'm sure that will change again someday and I will be off on a new adventure.
"The Edge of Forever"
The time draws near.
All is about to change.
One foot in front of the other,
Has gotten me to this place.
I stand at the edge of a cliff.
Looking down, I feel the rush.
Looking across, I see forever.
My heart races.
I know the next step.
My hands raised to the sky,
I can feel the power.
Body starting to quiver.
Fear and doubt run through my head.
Looking down, I feel the rush.
Looking across, I see forever.
The world is mine for the taking.
Just need to reach out and grab it.
It's all out in front of me.
I don't want to fall.
So here I am at the edge of the cliff...
I jump head first and take it all in.
