True Calling

I've noticed that when I am working on my photo art, all stress just goes away. I forget about work. It is my primary focus now to really figure out a way to do photography full time. I am producing great work and getting positive feedback from the community. I will be going to Colorado in two weeks and will be taking some more of my work to put in a couple of galleries there. Plus I will be shooting where the fires just came through and are still burning. I look forward to shooting some "after" pics to go along with my previous work.

It's All Going down tomorrow

So, on Friday, our manager got his ass reamed. He was told to step up and manage or the owner himself would come in and run things. The owner is a micro mgr to the extreme so most of us agree that we don't want that to happen. We have a staff meeting in the morning being hosted by Mr. Mgr. I guess we will find out if he is going to "step up" and by doing so, get out of his comfort zone and become an asshole or what. I see that as one possibility. Another possibility is nothing changes and then the owner steps in. I do have one strong ally in the store and he is in a position (ops mgr.) to help boost me if a new management position comes available. Me and Mr. Ops are the only two that actually do any work around the place. I get asked to do the manager's jobs a lot. Even other employees have noticed. Also, we have been notified that we aren't allowed to complain about a certain unfairness anymore. If we say one word about it, we can be fired. Frustrated as hell!

I am trying to stay positive through all this. I have a friend that is always promoting positivity, optimism, and encouragement. He posted over on that super popular site, a meme that states, " I will never turn down my ambition because someone else is uncomfortable with the volume." I love this. It says to me, keep on keeping on. Stay the course.

P.S. It is absolutely beautiful outside this morning on my back patio.
